Making Use – Life in Postartistic Times
Initiated by Sebastian Cichocki and Kuba SzrederMaking Use: Life in Postartistic Times was an exhibition and public programme at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw
February 19 – May 1, 2016
The main issue raised during this project (that sits in parellel to the activities of Art Util and contained the Arte Util archive) was the interweaving of art and other spheres of life; art “migrating” from museums and galleries into urban survival strategies, street protests, subversive advertising, campaigns to abolish bank debt, experiments with fog-catchers, critical cartography, agricultural cooperatives, alternative tourism, and the curricula of flying universities.
It was curated by Sebastian Cichocki and Kuba Szreder and shadow curated by Stephen Wright – the extensive website of the project can be found here
